I’m not a girl who can afford a champagne everyday, but a burt is always a great alternative. Not to mention this “Chandon” is the younger sis of Moet & Chandon![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]這篇文章的起源,其實是從這一瓶來自澳洲的Chandon香桐氣泡酒。初次見到這瓶酒時,很難不被他每年夏季所推出的限量外表吸引:這就是給女人喝的酒啊!!你問我,為什麼他叫做香桐氣泡酒,而不叫做香檳呢?其實這隻Chandon就是香檳大佬Moet & Chandon的好妹妹,釀製的方法都一樣,但由於不是在法國香檳區釀造,所以只能以氣泡酒命名。(但是如果你跟我一樣不是天天都喝得起Moet的人,這位好妹妹絕對是你的next best friend.)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3096″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]古人最喜歡以美酒佳人作為慶典的良伴,我常覺得自己就是古人,喜歡徜徉在美酒與佳人之間,這樣是不是很有詩意的形容了我喜歡與姐妹們小酌的心呢。不過這次我不僅邀請到佳人BlackChanel作伴,還踏雪尋梅的找到這位冠軍調酒師,Jacko雄(據說朋友們都叫他小熊)。我想用這瓶酒,多看看台灣有什麼有趣的人物、地點,跟故事藏密在城市的各個角落。[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I’m one of those who love to know new things, people, and interesting things. What’s more, I always believe that a bottle of alcohol is a must to widen our views (please don’t drink too much btw). So I asked my friend Janet of Blackchanel to meet up with a new guy that I’m seriously interested in, Jacko Chang, the bartender of M.O. bar of Mandarin Oriental Taipei and more. Jacko Chen is our 2015 National Champion of the “World Class”, the annual competition hosted by Diageo Reserve to find the world’s best bartender. He will fly to Cape Town in the end of August of the final roll where he will face 58 champions from all over the world. Fingers crossed for our Taiwanese Champion!
\[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]在開始跟Jacko閒聊前,得先說說這位冠軍調酒師,可是2015年“DIAGEO WORLD CLASS世界頂尖調酒大賽”,台灣區大賽的冠軍,在這個月底即將到南非開普敦,與58位來自世界各地的區域冠軍們交手,我真的很期待他能成為世界冠軍啊(雙手合十)。[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3095″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Jacko跟我一樣大,開始調酒師的生涯前,也是認真地從餐廳外場做起。「我覺得調酒好像滿帥的。」當聽到他說進入吧台是什麼機緣時,我著實翻了個白眼(當他的面),但想想,沒辦法,女生(有時候)就是吃這一套!儘管開始的心思很單純,但隨後從小學徒擦杯子,到多年後成為冠軍調酒師,在Jacko的言談間,我還是覺得他是個上進的青年啦。其實2015年並不是他第一次參賽,2012年首次參賽慘遭滑鐵盧之後的每一年,他不懈怠的持續參賽,精進自己,終於在今年拿了第一名,代表台灣出賽。他說這些話時輕描淡寫的,但還是不難感受到這位射手座男子滿腔的熱血與自信。[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Jacko is as the same age as me (which means young I guess lol). Before his bartender life, he used to work as a waiter. His inspiration of getting inside the bar? ” It seemed to be hot for girls as a bartender.” HAHA. Though it was a simple thought at the beginning, Jacko still worked pretty hard to achieve today’s national champion status. He started to attened the contest in 2012 and finally got what he wanted this year. In his description mentioned all the hard works casually, yet I still foundd this guy being aggressive inside his sagittarius heart of fire.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I’m curious about the scenes in movies that lonely people go to bars and chat with bartenders. Cuz I never did. I wondered if it ever happened in real life. So I asked Jacko if he has had any experiences of it. Turns out he did make a cocktail called “Puppy Love” once for a heart-broken American customer. “Puppy love?” I said,”why? I thought he just broke up with his girlfriend.”
“I wanted to cheer him up and encourage him to fall in love again like he did when he was young.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]電影裡常演到,許多孤單寂寞覺得冷的客人,會在吧檯跟調酒師訴說心事,所以調酒師手上一定有許多有趣故事。Jacko印象深刻的,是有一次有個美國客人失戀,請Jakco為他做一杯失戀用的調酒。Jacko調了一杯酸甜交織的「Puppy Love」給他,意思是喚醒他年輕時初動情長的感覺,儘管是失戀了,也要永遠記得開始戀愛的心情,勇敢的面對下一段感情。聽到這,實在不得不逼他為我們大顯一下身手![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3109″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]And this is definitely why I’m here today. The sweet scent of elderflower liquor and the fruit scent from lime juice make this cocktail smells epic! Not to mention the fragrance of Chandon and vodka. She is an icy chick. the mint brought out the icy filling, then grapefruit and lime came after with the sparkles from Chandon, be careful girls, be very careful. Not only he has to make the dry fruit to go with the cocktails everyday, he also needs to fold the napkins and clean up the work station. He’s still doing everything like the first day he entered the bar. During the work he is still thinking of his recipe for the contest which he planed to add some local flavor to make his work 100% from Taiwan. Though we can’t predict the future but we can always come to M.O. Bar and ask him for a drink, right? Ask him to make these two cocktails for you! You can thank me later :D[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]我們在一旁拍攝時,Jacko也很認真的在吧檯裡做前置作業,從親自烘培調酒使用的果乾,整理吧台,到折餐巾布等枝微末節的小事他都仔細地做著,一邊又思慮著三賽用的酒單。據他所言,這次參加世界大賽他將把能代表台灣味的幾種素材納入recipe裡,像是烏龍、桂花釀或酸梅湯這些古早味,都在他的清單中。這次代表台灣出賽,對他來說壓力與興奮程度一定不分軒輊,我覺得不論結局如何,大家都一定要來文華東方五樓的M.O.
